When September rolls around, businesses across South Africa prepare for mid‑year reconciliations. With openHR, generating your IRP5s is not only free - it’s quick and effortless.
Why IRP5s Matter
IRP5 certificates are essential for employee tax reporting. They ensure compliance with SARS requirements and give employees confidence that their tax affairs are in order.
How openHR Makes It Simple
With openHR, you don’t need expensive payroll add‑ons or manual processes. The system guides you through each step:
- Process your EMP201 Complete your EMP201 report for August or February. This unlocks the IRP5 option.
- Navigate to Reports At the top menu, select Reports, then choose IRP5.
- Check Company & Employee Info If any details are missing, openHR prompts you to fix them before continuing.
- Generate the IRP5 Click New, select the relevant period, and save.
- If the period isn’t visible, confirm the EMP201 was created.
- Once saved, the system generates both the EMP501 and IRP5s.
