We have exciting news! We now offer free permit management on openHR.co.za!
Never have a driver with an expired driver’s license be in the middle of an insurance dispute with your company vehicle. Never have the Department of Labour pitch up asking for work permits and having to look for that one small piece of paper. Create and store a scanned copy safely on openHR. What is more, we will notify you and the employee one month prior to expiration via email so you do not have to worry about anything. You can add everything from passports to forklift licenses, first aid certificates to PDP’s.
We have also split the employee profile into three categories to facilitate the addition of new features:
1. Advances, Directives, Payslips & Rates
2. Expenses & Leave
3. Transgressions & Permits

You can also now rehire a terminated employee by simply clicking on the green rehire button in the employee profile. Add the start date and click save. When you navigate back to Employees, the employee will be ready. Prior documents will still be on the old, terminated employee profile.

The termination of employees has also moved out of the edit screen and into the employee profile screen where you can simply click on the red terminate button.
Your profile settings available when you click on your email on openHR now also allows you to manage your communication preferences along with the light or dark theme.
Also added was a quantity field in pay rates so you can add overtime and unpaid leave rates with zero quantities and only change that on the payslips when required. All current rate quantities added on openHR is set to 1 – please update where needed 😊

We have been busy, and we hope to give you more to look forward to soon.
Just a reminder that we are still offering a free guiding session on Microsoft Teams in both Afrikaans and English if you are interested to learn how to get the most out of openHR. Offer ends Friday, the 15th of March 2024.
