What does each field mean when setting up Leave Types?
*Description* The name of the leave type. This is what employees and administrators will see throughout openHR. *Default allowance* How much leave an employee receives during one leave cycle. *Cycle length* How long one leave cycle lasts. A cycle starts on the employee's appointment date and resets when the cycle ends. *Cycle expiry* How long unused leave remains available from the cycle start. This allows employers to control whether employees can carry leave forward and for how long from when the cycle starts by making the expiry longer than the cycle itself or 0 for leave to last forever. *Cycle qualification* How long an employee must be employed before qualifying for the full leave entitlement. *Pro rata before cycle qualification* Accrue leave gradually before the employee qualifies. Enabled: Employee earns a portion of leave each pay cycle before qualification is reached. Disabled: Employee earns nothing until qualification is reached. *Pro rata after cycle qualification* Continue accruing leave gradually after qualification is reached. Enabled: Leave is earned each pay period throughout the cycle. Disabled: The remaining entitlement is awarded immediately once qualification is reached and a payslip is generated for that moment in time. *Display on payslip* Show the leave balance on employee payslips. *Override monthly earnings with fixed value* Use a fixed monthly accrual amount instead of calculating one from the allowance and cycle length.
